What Is a Giclee Print?

A giclee is a fine art print created by using a specialized high resolution inkjet printer. Giclee prints are created when inkjets spray millions of microscopic dots of ink onto specially treated archival paper. These tiny dots, or half-tone patterns, act like pixels to build colour and create the final, physical artwork from a digital file, similar to a 3D printer.
